The thymus is a key organ of the immune system, as it is responsible for maturation of T-lymphocytes, which are an effective weapon of the organism in the struggle against bacteria, viruses and harmful microbes. The thymus produces peptides exerting hormonal activity:
They influence differentiation and maturation of T-lymphocytes, in consequence regulating the organism’s ability to defend against pathogenic microorganisms and cancerous cells, as well as general level of immune response. Additionally, an increase in the number of regulatory lymphocytes leads to a milder autoimmune response and mitigation of adverse effects stemming from autoagressive disorders of the immune system. The production level of thymus hormones falls after 25th year of life, which weakens the immune system. Innovative composition of the complex formula of Thymus Factor was created based on current scientific and technological achievements, together with the knowledge acquired through many years of experience. The components and their proportions are designed to maximize their biological potential.
Gastro-resistant capsules able to withstand the chloric acid do not dissolve in the stomach. They protect and release the active substances in the small intestine, where they can best perform their function.

Zinc included in the formulation is in an organic form i.e. zinc gluconate, which makes it highly absorbable. Deficiency of this element may cause thymus atrophy (shrinking) and leads to higher susceptibility to infections. One of such disfunctions is Acrodermatitis enteropathica, a disease caused by severe zinc deficiency, resulting in thymus atrophy and as a result, in vulnerability to bacterial, fungal and viral infections. Importantly, those symptoms can be reverted by zinc supplementation, which underlines its importance in immune process.
Selenium is provided in an organic, bioavailable form: L-selenomethionine, a selenium containing amino acid. It’s abundant in selenium rich products. Selenium takes part in many biological processes of the cell as a key constituent of oxyreductive enzymes and cytochrome. Both selenium and methionine play crucial roles in the synthesis of glutathione, which is the most important antioxidant made by human body.
Vitamin C, also known as L-ascorbic acid is a naturally occurring, water soluble antioxidant. The influence of vitamin C on the immune system is well documented, it has been noted that it is accumulated in the cells of the immune system, such as neutrophils and macrophages. One of the contemporary trends in research focuses on the role of vitamin C in regulation of immune functions via modulation of cellular signalling pathways.
Thymus extract is a composition of proteins and peptides isolated from the thymus. In accordance to scientific knowledge, biologically active peptides are specific fragments of proteins, imparting positive influence over bodily functions. Many proteins can be a source of biologically active peptides, which are inactive while being a part of the intact precursor protein but can be released alongside amino acids in consequence of the enzymatic hydrolysis in the digestive tract. Research has shown, that the bioactive peptides comprise of 3 – 20 connected amino acid residues. Their action most often pertains the nervous system, immune system, coronary and digestive systems, but may also assist in boosting the absorption of minerals such as zinc and selenium via simple chemical interactions. Amino acids released during the digestive process are used as building blocks of the body, necessary for growth and regeneration of cells, tissues and organs.
