Thymus peptides for prevention and treatment of COVID-19

Jack Ma and Alibaba Foundation have appointed a group of medical experts, who have recently returned form the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic in China. With the support from a hospital affiliated with one of the most prestigious medical schools in China, The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, a handbook for treatment based on recent experiences was published on March 24th, 2020.

“Handbook of COVID-19 Prevention and Treatment” contains guidelines and information concerning the ongoing pandemic for medical personnel from all over the world. Everyday experiences of the professionals struggling against the virus were documented and included in the handbook.

In the section “Medical Advice Example for COVID-19 Patients”, subsection 4.3 on page 56 of the handbook, we can find administration of 1.6 mg of thymus peptides, twice a week over the course of COVID-19 infection as part of the recommended treatment.
